Connecting to community

Connecting to community

Did you know that one of the key things that Graduate Program recruiters look for is community engagement? Luckily for you, we have lots of not-for-profit companies coming along to Curtin Careers Fair that are looking to connect with their next round of volunteers and interns.

Getting connected to your community lets you:

  • Meet new people
  • Develop your soft skills, and gain some new ones
  • Invest in your future
  • Use discipline-specific knowledge
  • Give back

Think of organisations that you value and what they stand for. If you had some spare hours, who would you like to be helping or advocating for?

You can also put your hand up to get involved with Curtin Volunteers! (CV!), other student clubs or with your own sporting or local community clubs or groups or even further afield. For some more ideas see the West Australian Council of Social Services.
