Suiting up with Enactus

Many students might not be aware of Enactus. This community of students, academics and business leaders has already been around for a long time. As a global, non-for-profit organisation it’s active in quite a number of countries worldwide.

So what are they about?

About 17 universities in Australia pitch their social change projects at a national annual competition held in Sydney. The winning team gets to travel to wherever in the world to compete globally. This year it’s Silicon Valley.

The current Head of Marketing for Enactus Curtin, Mary Judith Bocarro, took some time out to come and talk to us about the key Curtin project they’re involved in to do some good for the Perth community called ‘Suited Up’.

Enactus at Curtin will be hosting a workshop Leaving a legacy – making a positive social change as part of the Careers for Tomorrow Festival.
Students will be encouraged to pitch their own ideas about projects that can benefit the community.
