The Department of Corrective Services (DCS) aims to be a world class corrective services organization which provides support to the justice system and the community of Western Australia by ensuring the security and safety of the community, staff and those in the Department’s care
The Department has a workforce of more than 4,500 employees, working across the State in a variety of settings and roles. We manage 16 prisons, five work camps, and a number of community corrections and youth justice services offices. Providing a 24 hour, seven day a week, 365 days a year critical service in the world’s largest geographical correctional jurisdiction, covering some 2.5 million square kilometers.
