The Department for Child Protection and Family Support is the key Western Australian government agency responsible for child protection and family support services in the state. The Department protects and cares for children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in crisis.

We work closely with other agencies to provide services to meet complex needs, this means working across a diversity of fields and settings, including: mental health; education; criminal justice; homelessness and housing; Aboriginal community services; domestic and family violence and refugee services.
