Who are we?
CareerTrackers is a National non-profit organisation.
Our focus is you the student, and increasing our Indigenous representation in professional private sector employment. We work with indigenous university students to build career pathways in the private sector through our internship program.
Our Activities
CareerTrackers visits university campuses across the country, meeting with students to help you develop a career pathway aligned with your passions.
Once we are familiar with your aim and direction, we work with our current corporate partners to place students in internships, or we seek leading companies that will partner with us to offer you, the student, a paid internship opportunity while you complete your studies.
The idea is for you to continue to undertake an internship with their sponsoring company every year while at university with the opportunity to go straight into full-time employment upon completion of your degree.
We work with large organisations like Qantas, Westpac, Leighton Contractors and Lend Lease, right down to the small businesses in the creative and architectural sector.
The Program
CareerTrackers is a program and not a placement service. We don’t just put students into companies and walk away.

- Ensure employers have the right framework to support the unique needs of Indigenous employees.
We started in 2009 with 18 students and to date have had over 900 students involved in the program across every state and territory in Australia.

Information sessions will be held throughout the year in Perth. These sessions are designed to help you gain an insight into internship opportunities available to you and the process required to achieve your own. You will also have an opportunity to meet the team and ask any questions. All CareerTrackers Student Advisors are recent graduates and understand the pressures of maintaining a stable work, life and study balance.
