Lauren Robertson

Lauren is a Career Development Consultant within the Careers, Employment & Leadership team. Perth born and bred, she has 11 years’ experience working in career development within higher education. Lauren enjoys supporting individuals’ to explore, build skills and take action to secure or create work and employment opportunities that are both personally and professionally rewarding.

Having worked at Curtin since 2009, she has been involved in a range of programs and services offered by the Careers, Employment & Leadership team including the Next Step Mentoring Program, development of online Curtin Challenge modules, tailored workshop delivery for students, as well as the prototype Independent by Choice event and the Careers for Tomorrow Festival. Lauren likes to think of her work as helping people work out what they want to grow into, rather than what they want to do when they grow up.

Outside of work Lauren enjoys being active and outdoors through swimming, hiking and going to the beach, even competing in Masters Surf Life Saving competitions. She is also a mother of four year old twins who loves to share photos of her kids and anecdotes of the amusing things they say and do.
