PLAN AHEAD
- Register early – this gives you a chance to get organised
- Check out who’s attending – you can search employers by name, types of roles available, industry, work rights and more
- Visit an employer’s profile to see if they’re hosting groups chats/presentations as well as one-to-one chats
- If an organisation interests you, click on the star next to their name – they’ll then appear at the top of your list
ON THE DAY
- Set up somewhere quiet where you can hear and be heard
- Use Chrome or Firefox – the virtual fair platform doesn’t support Internet Explorer
- You can join multiple queues, but only participate in one chat at a time
- There’s an approximate wait time, but this can change quickly
- Have a couple of questions ready to go for each chat
- Mute your microphone in group chats unless you’re speaking
- Use the raise hand function if you would like to ask a question
