We recently spoke in-depth with Alexander Kristoff, Graduate Development Program Coordinator for the Department of Health Western Australia, about their Graduate Development Program 2021. We got some great tips on the application process in general, and in addressing selection criteria – which is not everybody’s favourite thing – in particular.
So, if you’re in your final year or a recent grad and interested in a career in the public sector, then these Department of Health WA roles might be just what you’re looking for. Applications close on Monday 24 August 2020.

“Your written responses addressing the selection criteria is what we’re particularly focusing on and it’s where you should be spending most of your time on your application.”
“One aspect that a lot of people seem to miss out on is proof reading your application. Even in the best app-written applications we still find errors and it’s something that comes up quite often. So, you know, it might just be useful to ask a family member or friend to read through your application and provide you with some feedback.”
“I think as long as you’re making sure that you’re engaging with everyone else in the team, being open, being positive and keeping track of time, you can do quite well during the group assessment centre stage.”
