JCW – a chance to lead

You might have heard of Curtin Volunteers? Otherwise known as CV! (Trademark exclamation mark included as part of their brand!) CV! run a number of amazing community projects, with one in particular ranging across the State of WA – John Curtin Weekend, or JCW.

JCW operates across about 40 different locations. It’s where a bunch of happy go-lucky go-getters get together in a van, or even on a plane, and head to the great outdoors for a weekend of helping different communities. Teamwork, camaraderie and a desire to help is all that is needed!

We recently managed to catch up with a former CV! Site Leader, and asked just what kind of person would be interested in applying for this kind of role?

“Site leading is a really great way to see different parts of WA, see different communities, and experience different things that you wouldn’t really get the chance to.”

“If you have a real sort of sense of adventure, it’s just an awesome experience.”

If you think this sounds like it might be right for you, applications are now open, closing Sunday 29 March.

If you’re not yet ready for a leadership role, but still want to get involved in voluntary community programs, check out CV!’s other programs. All programs are open for expressions of interest – and they’re filling up fast!
