GradConnect time for Nursing and Midwifery students

July 3, 2019 by Susan Surgener

GradConnect time for Nursing and Midwifery students

While plenty of students will be taking a leisurely break from the books, there’s usually no rest at this time of year for Nursing and Midwifery students. July is ‘open season’ for hospital and health centre graduate recruitment and many of our Health Sciences students will be frantically putting applications together for highly coveted graduate Nursing and Midwifery Programs in the public sector. Some private hospitals such as St John of God and those connected to Ramsay Healthcare also open up for applications around the same time.

For GradConnect you only have to think about one application and addressing the same four selection criteria once. If you’re applying to private hospitals however we’d suggest that you test out your video interviewing skills and get comfy in front on a camera – some ask applicants to do a video interview as part of their application process.

We have also created a detailed Nursing and Midwifery Job Applications and Interviews guide for some extra hints and tips on UniHub (Curtin login required). It’s packed with all sorts of good stuff to help you throughout the entire process and even comes with some great scenario interview questions.

If you want feedback on your applications, you can call into Curtin Connect (Building 102) or, if you’re unable to make it to campus, you can also submit docs online.

Our assistance doesn’t end there – once applications are closed, we’ll still be here to help you out with mock interview practice!

We’re here to help you get that grad position, so let us!
