It’s Work Ready Careers Fair week! Yes, dear reader, Work Ready Careers Fair is on this Wednesday, and then we promise you won’t have to hear about it again…at least until next year. We also have some great events and workshops on this week, including a re-run of the Leadership 101 workshop with guest speaker Professor Alan Dench, a campus visit from Woodside Energy and our first career skills workshop for the semester. Read on!

Making the Most of the Work Ready Careers Fair | Monday 7 August | 211.230, Bentley Campus

Before you head along to the Fair on Wednesday, go to the Make the Most of the Work Ready Careers Fair workshop. This workshop will cover how to make a strong first impression with employers and networking essentials.

Woodside Summer Vacation Program – For Supply Chain Management students | Monday 7 August | 405.205, Bentley Campus

Woodside will be on campus this week to talk to Supply Chain Management students about their Summer Vacation Program. The program will enable students to see first hand what it’s like to work at Australia’s most experienced LNG operator prior to operation.

Leadership 101 | Tuesday 8 August | 403.101, Bentley Campus

If you missed out on Leadership 101 last week, never fear! You have another chance to get along this week, with guest speaker Professor Alan Dench – PVC Humanities. This workshop kicks off the Curtin Leaders Program, so it’s well worth checking it out to hear about what’s in store for you this semester.

Work Ready Careers Fair | Wednesday 9 August | Curtin Stadium, Bentley Campus

Regular readers of this blog won’t be surprised to hear that Work Ready Careers Fair is on Wednesday! As well as employers chatting about their vacation work, internships, part-time work and work experience placements, we also have our Work Ready Zone including breakout workshops from industry professionals, a networking zone for our Humanities students, and resume reviews.

Resumes | Thursday 10 August | Bentley Campus

We kick off our career skills workshops this week with faculty-specific resume workshops. Book into the workshop, and learn how to create and tailor an effective resume that will assist you in securing the position you desire.
