It’s Resume Week! This week we will be focusing on all things resume, with articles, workshops and modules all designed to help you master the art of resume writing.
For those that may not be as excited by resumes as we are, we also lots of other events including a networking event for our Science and Engineering students, the launch of the Employability Award for Semester One and the first workshop for Curtin Leaders Program. Read on for more details.
Employability Award – Welcome Event | Monday 6 March | 300.215, Bentley Campus
The Employability Award Introductory Event is a special event designed to introduce students to the Curtin Employability Award and kick-start your way into the program. You will also participate in “Who am I?” – one of five modules you are required to complete.
Selection Criteria Workshop – For Health Sciences students | Monday 6 March | 300.214, Bentley Campus
Come along to this workshop to learn strategies to answer the most tricky of selection criteria. Effectively identifying and addressing selection criteria is the perfect opportunity to show an employer you are the right person for the job.
Bloomberg Campus Presentation – For CBS students | Tuesday 7 March | 410.314, Bentley Campus
Global provider of financial news and information, Bloomberg, will be on campus to talk to students about the exciting ongoing career opportunities available to graduates.
Curtin Leaders Program – Leadership 101 | Tuesday 7 March and Wednesday 8 March | 213.104, Bentley Campus
Explore what leadership means to you and others. Identify the skills you already have, and those you want to develop so you can have a positive impact in your community. There are are two opportunities to get along to the first workshop for Curtin Leaders Program this week – follow the links in the title.
Resume Workshops | Wednesday 8 March | Bentley Campus
Our workshops are booking out fast, but there are still spots available for our Humanities students, and a few spots available for our Science and Engineering and CBS students. Health Sciences is all booked out, but we are running a second resume workshop on Thursday 16 March.
For those that have booked in to a workshop but now can’t make it, please cancel your booking so another student can attend in your place.

AECOM Speed Networking Event – For Science and Engineering students | Wednesday 8 March | Engineering Pavilion (215), Bentley Campus
AECOM will be on campus to talk to Science and Engineering students about their graduate opportunities, and host a speed networking session with some of their managers.
