Getting started with LinkedIn

If you haven’t been brave enough to dive into LinkedIn, getting your profile up onto this social media networking platform is quickly becoming the way to go.

Organisations are really tapping into LinkedIn as a way to engage young talent – according to Aurecon over 30 million student and graduates are using LinkedIn.

Getting to know your way around LinkedIn can be a bit daunting but it’s not just for seasoned professionals and those with a trillion connections.

LinkedIn are trying to make it easy for you by providing heaps of tools and resources aimed at students, recent grads and young professionals.

Braving It

  • Get along to one of our Making the most of LinkedIn Workshops this week.
  • Take a look at some of LinkedIn’s video tutorials.
  • For those who already have a profile but would like some feedback, we already provide 10 minute feedback session to CBS students over a two hour timeslot on Wednesdays of every second week.
  • After the mid-semester break you will also be able to drop in to the centre for profile reviews, which cover content, credibility and contribution.

Check the ‘Upcoming Events’ on UniHub to find out more about workshops and profile reviews.
