Considering a career in your home country? We are pleased announce that following a prestigious launch event in the John Curtin Gallery attended by Curtin staff, students and alumni, Global Careers – our new online interface that connects Curtin students with employers worldwide – is now fully operational!
Go to globalcareers.curtin.edu.au to view hundreds of job opportunities being advertised by some of the world’s largest and most prestigious overseas employers exclusively to Curtin students and graduates.
Statistics show that over 60% of international students in Australia look to return home within 2 years of completing their studies. This new site enables you to search for jobs that are directly applicable to you based on your course of study, citizenship, and your individual working rights in your own country. You can set up email alerts so that you are notified when suitable vacancies come available you are eligible to apply for. The site is currently available to view in English and Chinese, and more language packs will be added in the coming weeks and months.
Global Careers is just one of a suite of specialised services the Careers & Employment Centre is able to offer international students to prepare you for your future career with services including:
- Careers events on subjects ranging from Making the Most of LinkedIn to Resume and Cover Letter workshops.
- Free access to Curtin students to the Going Global website, which provides you with country specific guides to finding and securing internships and employment. Tailored job application resources are also available for your country of choice.
- The IEAA International Employability Guide: International Students is a great resource to help you build your career throughout your time in Australia.
